Oladapo Fakeye
Mr. Oladapo Fakeye has over two decades’ experience as a development/mortgage banker with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN). His work experience has covered mobilisation for the National Housing Fund (NHF), human resource management, research & development and managing the Executive Office as Special Assistant to successive Managing Director/Chief Executives of the Bank over an unbroken period of nine years.
He is currently Group Head, Strategy & Performance Management of the Bank. His responsibilities include driving the strategy direction of the Bank and overseeing its implementation towards repositioning FMBN to achieve unassailable leadership as the foremost mortgage institution in Nigeria.
He was privileged to serve on the Housing Sub-Committee of the Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC) which drafted the Presidential Priorities of the President Tinubu Administration prior to assumption of office in 2023. He also served on the Committee which worked with FMDQ-sponsored PwC team to develop Nigeria’s 10-Year National Housing Strategy for the Federal Ministry of Housing & Urban Development in 2022-2023, amongst other professional national assignments.
‘Dapo has attended training courses in local and international institutions including the International Housing Finance Programme at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA; bank examination courses of the Central Bank of Nigeria; the International Union of Housing Finance (IUHF); the National Institute of Policy & Strategic Studies, Kuru, as well as a housing finance-related study tours of Mexico, South Africa, Singapore, amongst other capacity development programmes.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Chartered Credit Risk Management Institute (CRMI) and other reputable social and charitable associations.
He deeply values volunteerism and humanitarianism and an avid power biker and squash player.
He is happily married with children.
